History of Excellence

The McKinney Marquettes are in their 56th year of entertaining crowds with their talented precision dance and poise. The Marquettes are made up of freshmen through seniors at McKinney High School. Due to popularity and tremendous talent levels, the Marquette organization created the audition only Junior Varsity Marquette team nine years ago. The mission of the Marquettes is to create a highly skilled and talented dance team, serve as model community members of our school and community and to create fun memories that will last a lifetime. Marquette alumni have gone on to become Kilgore Rangerettes, UNT dance team members, Apache Belles, Texas Legend dancers, Dallas Ice girls and Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Auditions for the Varsity and Junior Varsity Marquettes take place in March and are comprised of a jazz routine, high kick routine and demonstration of splits.
